How to Make Your Delivery Experience Better

1 min read

When you order something on the internet, you want your items to arrive as smoothly as possible. Giving you a good delivery experience is primarily the responsibility of the retailers and couriers, but there are some things you can do to make sure you have the delivery experience you deserve.

| Quick Payment

  1. Opt for prepaid payment. Payment on delivery often causes delays in delivery. Pay for your item online as you place your order. This allows contactless delivery. The courier doesn’t have to schedule the delivery time with you, and you can simply wait until your package magically appears at your doorstep.

  2. Communicate with your courier. If you do opt to pay on delivery, you will likely be contacted by the courier to see when you would be available to complete payment and receive the package. The sooner you reply to your courier’s call or message, the faster you will get your package. If your delivery is being managed through swftbox, you will receive an SMS from swftbox asking you to confirm your location and pick your preferred delivery time from the available slots. Make sure you do it!

  3. Prepare your payment. Couriers are required to collect the payment before handing over the package. It’s faster, safer, and more convenient to pay with a simple tap of your credit card on the point-of-sale machine the driver carries. But if you prefer to pay with cash, make sure you hand the courier the exact amount. Couriers will not always carry exact change which will delay the delivery.

| Accurate Address

  1. Provide your pin. Nothing beats an accurate pin provided by the customer. This allows couriers to navigate directly to you without having to call you. Taking a few seconds to enter your pin correctly will save you the hassle of calls.

  2. Write your full address. A bad address will delay delivery. Even if you provide an accurate pin, your address helps couriers find you once they get to your vicinity. Make sure you write your address accurately and with as many details as possible to help the courier to pinpoint your location.

  3. Respond to confirmation communications. This wouldn’t be necessary if you write your address accurately. But in case the courier doesn’t have your address, make sure you respond to your courier with your correct address and pin so they can reach you as quickly as possible.

By keeping these in mind, you can help your own delivery experience be a good one.
